Full Synopsis of Codename: Zulu, a mission series created by Mattatatta for DYOM

Disclaimer:
Do not read this if you have not completed the series/missions you are going to read up on. You WILL spoil the story for yourself, and the story is what makes this series so special.

As said in the "READ THIS" file enclosed with this download, only read this synopsis if you have:
a) Completed the series
b) Completed some missions and only want to read up to where you have got to, so you understand what is happening.
c) Cannot complete a mission because of crashes/bugs and HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO FIX IT.

I should also emphasise the fact that this story is entirely ficticious, and is not related to anything in real life. This series does have obvious inspiration from other games and generic plots, but I have made certain that what I used contained as much original content as possible.

I am not a patriotic person, and this series is not supposed to be "Pro-American" or pro-anything. It is merely a story of a two large forces fighting eachother, with the main characters stuck in the middle of it - to put it blankly so I don't spoil anything.

Ok, now begins the Synopsis!

###SPOILERS INBOUND###

Act I
Mission 1: Cargo Op

Agent Zulu, which is alias under the Falling Angels, always wanted to be a kind of hero. However, as time went by and he grew older, he started to see that it is much harder to tell the difference from Good and Evil in this world.

Shortly after the Berlin Wall collapsed in Germany, marking the end of the U.S.S.R., otherwise known as the Soviet Union, Russia quickly fell into disarray due to the loss of their old government. Many factions grew and sought to take control of the country - each with their own agendas, some good, some bad. As chaos swept across the nation, one faction grew to become the largest terror-group in Russia. This group was named the Sons of the Soviet Union, or S.S.U. While they were the most powerful faction in Russia, they did not manage to take over the country, as a democratic government was set up and put to power. As a result, the S.S.U. began their mission to destroy the new government and restore the old one. The leaders of this group agreed that the reason the Soviet Union collapsed was due to Western interference, as proven evident by the new Democratic government. So, it was decided, that while the group works to restore the Soviet Union in Russia, a splinter group shall be set up within the United States, whose mission shall be to cause the collapse of the U.S. government and subject the entire country to the same chaos Russia witnessed after the Soviet Union collapsed. The group was set up in San Andreas, and began to work with all the black markets and gangs in the area, to build up their supplies, and to eventually become a well-armed terrorist army.

Meanwhile, the F.B.I. picked up on the events in Russia, and the S.S.U.'s activities. After learning that a terrorist group could be operating in San Andreas, they immediately sprung to action. However, due to the lack of intel, and evidence that there even was a terror group in San Andreas, all requests for support from the Army and local Police were denied. And, as a result, the government refused to clear the F.B.I. of red tape to allow them to begin operations.

To get around this red tape, the F.B.I. decided to secretly create an elite anti-terror organisation, with one their most elusive and intelligent agents: Mike Toreno. Toreno immediately started recruiting new agents to this group. He looked to fake prison escapes and murders to acquire the men he needed for Falling Angels Armed Response Soldiers (F.A.A.R.S.), a subdivision made of experienced shooters. This division would provide the firepower and men needed for offensive operations where delicacy was not required.

The second division became known as the Falling Angels Task Force (F.A.T.F.). This division originally had only a handful of members, mainly spooks and veteran Special Forces soldiers. But as men were lost during operations, and made to "disappear" after attempting to go AWOL or otherwise act out of orders. More men were recruited into this division as replacements. The agents were given codenames that followed the alphabet, such as Agent Alpha, and Agent Beta. Agent Indigo is one of the longest-surviving agents in this division, and acts as undercover informant for the Falling Angels. The locations and statuses of other agents is never revealed, indicating that only Indigo or Zulu are the only members, or are simply being kept secret.

When Agent Zulu was invited to a new secret organisation by the F.B.I. He had little choice but to accept. He was chosen because of his experience in the Los Santos S.W.A.T. division, and had proven himself to be a master with all weapons. His background also revealed that he was a trained pilot and enjoyed free falling as a hobby. To Mike Toreno, these skills made Agent Zulu perfect for a variety of operations that spooks such as Indigo were not specialised for.

In the first mission, Zulu is dropping in onto a large Cargo Ship outside of San Fierro. Agent Indigo, who has been working undercover in an arms ring, has given intel that says that the Cargo Ship is loaded with illegal weapons and goods. Since the ship was already approaching port, making a large scale raid impossible to hide from the public, Toreno decided to send in the newly recruited Zulu to single-handedly secure the ship and send it to the bottom of the sea.

Zulu successfully rigs the boat to explode, and, after securing the landing zone at the front of the ship, pilots the helicopter and flies to safety to witness the ship being blown up. He then quickly leaves the area before the Coast Guard can respond, and lands at Bayside.

Mission 2: Nines, Aks, and Plutonium

After the success of the Cargo Operation, Zulu is assigned to the follow-up operation.

This mission entails a direct attack on the arms ring as they unload smuggled weapons off an already docked ship. While F.A.A.R.S. can very easily perform this operation, explaining why they are present, there ios further intel from Indigo that a meeting is taking place between the arms ring and a Russian group.

Wanting to capture the leaders and secure more intel, Toreno orders F.A.A.R.S. to remain undetected until Zulu successfully locates and eavesdrop on the meeting, then capturing the leaders.

Zulu parachutes down to the front of the ship, where Team One has secured a safe insertion point. Upon landing, Team One Alpha informs Zulu that the meeting is taking place on the top deck of the ship, above the bridge. In order to get to it, Zulu has to quietly make his way there - eliminating any men in his way.

After reaching the meeting undetected, Zulu hears the arms ring leader and Russian boss beginning to fall into a standoff. The arms leader appears to have smuggled an item for the Russians without knowing what it is. After discovering what it is, he is now having second thoughts about handing it over to the Russians as previously agreed. The Russian boss is outraged and shoots the ring leader, stating that he and his men shall tear apart the compound in order to locate their item.

The area erupts into gunfire and chaos, and Toreno radios in asking what has just happened. Zulu informs Toreno of the latest events and watches the Russian boss leave the ship. Toreno orders Zulu to grab any intel left at the meetingand then to capture the Russian boss.

Zulu discovers the arms ring leader to be still alive, and he reveals to Zulu that the Russians are after stolen Plutonium. Not wasting a second, Zulu regroups with Team One (who have completely secured the ship) and moves into the compound. He searches and secures each warhouse one-by-one, finding supplies and useful (but highly illegal) weapons to help control the chaos. Team Two arrives by truck and becomes under fire, Zulu and Team One help support Team Two and secure the compound.

Zulu then moves to the last warehouse, and blows a hole in a barricaded doorway. He secures the building and takes down the Russian boss, who fought to the death. Zulu then locates the stolen Plutonium in a large container and contacts Toreno with the interesting news.

Mission 3: Scoped OUT!!!

The arms ring leader, who survived the gunshot wound in the previous mission, doesn't hesitate to give Toreno all the information he has. After learning that the Russian gang he was doing business with were highly dangerous terrorists, he fears the worst will happen to him if he doesn't help the Falling Angels.

The ringleader reveals that their was a detective slowly picking up on his trail, and had been collecting evidence and information on both the arms ring and the Russian group. This led to the Russian boss (the one killed in the previous mission) to authorize an assassination of the Detective. After learning that the assassins were planning to strike the very same day, Zulu quickly commandeered some transport and started making his way to Los Santos airport. Toreno radios in and tells Zulu that a plane is waiting to take him to Las Venturas to stop the assassins.

Aboard the plane, Zulu feels impatient as he knows time is slowly dwindling away. Toreno, having regained his composure, tries to cool Zulu's anxiousness with his trademark dark humour. This doesn't wash with Zulu, who calls his superior a "cheeky twat", much to the anger of Toreno.

Zulu parachutes down onto the helipad of the Emerald Isle Hotel, where one group of assassins are setting up. Zulu quickly secures the rooftop and takes a sniper rifle from the dead. From here, Zulu finds the hidden snipers camping near the Las Venturas Police Department and eliminates each one.

After Zulu clears the area of snipers, the F.B.I. send an agent to pick up Detective Brown and escort him to safety. While the agent is inside the station, more assassins show up on the roof of the Emerald Isle to kill Zulu. Zulu repels the attack not long before the F.B.I. agent calls for help. Zulu sees that a car load of assassins have drove up to the Police station and are trying to kill the agent and Detective. Zulu snipes these assassins, giving the F.B.I. agent enough time to drive away from the area.

Toreno contacts Zulu, and tells him that he has intercepted the assassins' radio transmissions, and discovered that they have decided to send in a small helicopter loaded with rockets to kill Zulu. Lacking anti-air measures, Zulu resorts to sniping the helicopter before it gets close enough to fire its missiles.

With the skies clear, an extraction helicopter arrives to pick up Zulu. They head along the route of the Detective's car, and spot a lone assassin wielding an RPG. Zulu orders the helicopter to land and jumps out. He quickly squeezes in a shot to kill the maniac, merely a few seconds before the Detective's car is spotted by the assassin.

With the Detective well and truly safe, Zulu gets back in the helicopter. After a difficult mission, Zulu wonders what the Detective knows as they fly to the rendezvous at the Golf Course on the edge of Las Venturas.

Mission 4: Moths To A Flame

Zulu, Detective Brown, and the pilot fly to the ranch in Tierra Robada, where the HQ for the Falling Angels is. The pilot drops off the two men and they enter the house. Detective Brown immediately begins demanding security and a safe place to hide, as he fears for his life. Toreno agrees to provide him protection in exchange for all the intel he has on the Russian group.

The Detective tells Zulu and Toreno that the Russian group are in fact a splinter group from a large Russian terrorist organisation called the Sons of the Soviet Union. And that their sole mission in San Andreas is to destroy the American government as revenge for the collapse of the Soviet Union. Toreno then orders Zulu to escort the Detective and his security detail to the safe house, so that the Detective can provide more intel later on. Zulu drives the three men toward Fort Carson, and they are promptly attacked by bloodthirsty assassins. Zulu's driving allows his heavy four-door car to escape the assassins' more nimble sportscars, and makes his way to a safehouse in Fort Carson.

There, Zulu eliminates the pursuing assassins and enters the safehouse. The agents discuss their options, and agree that the only way to get the Detective out alive is for a decoy to sent out, thus allowing the Detective to escape to the real safehouse. Zulu ends up with the short straw and takes the role of the decoy. He takes control of the four-door car and follows a series of coordinates Toreno sends him via GPS. The route Zulu takes quickly lures the assassins away from Fort Carson, and leads them to a farm in Red County.

Zulu, ahead of the assassins, jumps out and grabs some supplies left for him to deal with the assassins, and ambushes them as they arrive. After destroying the threat, Toreno tells Zulu that the Detective is safe and to get some rest while he waits for a helicopter to pick him up and take him back to HQ.

Mission 5: Callsign Indigo

Zulu arrives at the HQ to a urgent mission. Toreno orders Zulu to drive to Bayside and get briefed on the way there.

Agent Indigo, who has been working undercover in the arms ring, has been found out, and both arms ring members and Russian terrorists are moving to his house in Bayside. Zulu's mission is to simply get Indigo out of there alive, which, by the time Zulu arrives at the scene, quickly becomes a difficult task. Zulu eliminates the attacking men and goes to the house in search of the missing agent. He gets held up at gunpoint by one of the attackers. Seconds before the attacker kills Zulu, Indigo shoots him in the back, saving Zulu's life.

Indigo quickly identifies himself and joins Zulu as they make a break for it. Zulu takes down a wave of attackers and obtains a car for the two men to escape in. Indigo knows the destination, and gives Zulu directions as they escape numerous enemies pursuing them. As Indigo takes care of those who get too close with his trusty Desert Eagle, Zulu once again shows his driving prowess by navigating through the busy streets of San Fierro, and on into the countryside.

Upon leaving San Fierro, they lose their attackers. However, before they can celebrate, Toreno radios in and tells them that he has reports of a gunship in the area. Knowing that it is after them, Zulu quickly drives to Los Santos while evading the gunship. The city's high population and quick response from the military prevents the gunship from continuing chase, and retreats back into the countryside. Zulu drives Indigo to a new safehouse north of Los Santos.

Mission 6: Bleed Your Heart Out

After leaving an impressed Indigo at the safehouse, Zulu gets a call from Toreno to meet him in Las Venturas.

A couple of hours later, Zulu finds Toreno waiting for him along with men from F.A.A.R.S. Toreno informs Zulu that Indigo learned the location and time of another deal the S.S.U. are going to be attending. This time, the S.S.U. are dealing with a large smuggling ring that specialises in smuggling not only weapons and ordinance, but also people. Toreno gives Zulu his briefing, and is informed by a F.A.A.R.S. member that the Detective is asking to be relocated. Toreno tells him that the Detective should go to Indigo's safe house, as it is the closest one near the Detective.

The smuggling ring use a meat factory as a front, which is where the meeting is being held. Zulu is going to be leading a squad on a raid inside the building, but before the raid can proceed, Zulu takes up position on a rooftop near the factory. From there, Zulu picks off sentries watching over the area, and then signals F.A.A.R.S. to move in.

Moments later, Zulu joins in and helps F.A.A.R.S. secure the area. He then moves indoors and, with the help of two F.A.A.R.S. members, eliminates the hostiles inside while being careful not to shoot any explosives or kill any innocent people caught in human trafficking.

The F.A.A.R.S. members begin to help the hostages escape while Zulu moves ahead to secure the rest of the building. He enters an office to secure it, but gets surprised and shot in the back by a mysterious Russian boss. The boss escapes and the two F.A.A.R.S. members rush to Zulu's aid. They call for a medic and try to save Zulu as he slips away.

Mission 7: Coma

Zulu wakes up in the middle of a burning street, in what appears to be San Fierro being blasted by fallout. Not knowing what is going on, he makes his way along the street in search of help. As cars explode nearby, Zulu climbs up onto a building and stands on the first floor of large outdoor hall. Suddenly, the world changes colour and a line of flames ignite in front of him. A strange voice tells Zulu to follow the flames. Not knowing what is going on, he follows the flames. He reaches a bridge, and Indigo drops down in front of him. The strange voice tells Zulu that a hero will give his life for a friend, even if that means the hero shall become a villain himself. Suddenly, Indigo disappears.

Zulu carries on, and more apparitions appear before him, namely the mysterious Russian boss and himself being shot by him. The voice orders Zulu to remember what happened to him.

Suddenly, the voice warns Zulu that death is approaching, and that he must run before it reaches him. Zulu obeys and escapes a wave of explosives that tried to kill him. The voice tells Zulu that he is now free, and may he leave this place wise.

Act II:
Mission 1: Besieged!

Some hours before Zulu gets shot, Indigo is relaxing in his new safehouse. He is contacted by Toreno, who tells him that the Detective is coming to his safehouse. The Detective arrives on cue, and he jumps out of his smoking car telling Indigo that there are more assassins behind him and they found him. Indigo, using his trusty Desert Eagle, dispatches the pursuers.

Indigo opens up a weapons crate and gives himself and the Detective an Assault Rifle, and he tells the Detective to get ready for a large attack. More Russians arrive, and surround the building. Indigo fights viciously against the onslaught and kills the terrorists. The Detective flees and hides in a portable loo - leaving Indigo to fight the men alone. More men arrive, and Indigo quickly takes them out. Indigo gets into contact with Toreno, demanding support. Toreno tells him that he working on getting Indigo some instant support that should become available soon. He also reluctantly tells Indigo that the gunship is being sent after him again. Without any anti-air equipment, Indigo is shocked at the thought of battling the gunship. Toreno tells him that enough shots into the chopper's fuselage shall bring it down.

Indigo fights the circling gunship and avoids its missile strikes. With enough patience and a good, steady aim, Indigo successfully shoots the gunship down with only his Assault Rifle and Desert Eagle. He quickly retreats back inside the safehouse to recieve a call from Toreno. The building is surrounded again, but this time by pickup trucks with minigunners and numerous footsoldiers. Suddenly, and volley of explosions destroys the reinforcements. Toreno reveals that he pulled some strings to give Indigo support by way of a Precision Airstrike. He then tells Indigo to head north to be extracted by helicopter with the Detective.

Indigo fetches the hiding Detective, and they make their way toward the helicopter. They climb aboard and Toreno contacts Indigo. He tells Indigo that he shall see him in Los Santos to conduct a raid there. Puzzled, Indigo asks why he is going to be in the raid when Zulu is more qualified for it. Toreno gravely tells Indigo that Zulu has been shot during the raid on the meat factory, and that he is fighting for his life.

Mission 2: Sons of the Soviet Union

Indigo and Toreno are watching one of the two locations that are to be raided in Los Santos. The plan is for Indigo, and a squad of F.A.A.R.S. members, to enter the premises of a large warehouse that is believed to contain one of the S.S.U.'s stockpiles of weapons and supplies. The men shall secure the entire property inside and out. Then, Indigo shall make his way to the next raid location, and rendezvous with the second F.A.A.R.S. squad. He shall then assist them in securing that location too.

The first raid begins with Indigo securing the far side of the compound, allowing the squad to join him. They then make their way toward the main building and engage in heavy combat with the men outside. Once they have control of the area, the men then make their way inside and secure the warehouse.

Inside, plenty of powerful weapons and explosives are found, including a large battle tank that has somehow come into the S.S.U.'s possession. After securing the building, Indigo heads back to Toreno and gets the detailed plan of the second raid.

Indigo then makes his way to meet with the second team, he speaks to the leader, who has come halfway to meet with Indigo and help him defeat some investigating terrorists. They eliminate these men and link up with the rest of the squad. Entering through the train loading building, Indigo and the rest of the men breach the compound. They quickly eliminate some heavily armed foes, and stack up round the back of the large warehouse. Indigo and the team leader blast their way inside the office, while the rest of the squad takes care of anyone trying to escape. A fierce battle ensues inside the warehouse, but eventually Indigo emerges through the other side of the building. He reports in that the area has been secured, much to the delight of Toreno. However, they are far from finished...

Mission 3: The Badlands

Shortly before the second raid took place, a train left the area loaded with some of the S.S.U.'s supplies. The F.B.I. tracked the train and noticed that it stopped in the middle of Back O' Beyond - possibly to offload it's cargo before going to San Fierro. Indigo makes his way to the location where the train stopped, and finds a few S.S.U. loading up the last of some crates. He sneaks up on them and eliminates all but one, who he interrogates.

The captured terrorist calmly tells Indigo where the rest of the supplies are, and attempts to kill him by blowing himself and some of the cargo up. Indigo barely escapes the trap and quickly runs towards the farm. He hides in the woods as two men rush to investigate the explosion. Believing it to have been caused by a clumsy worker, the sentries stay put and keep watch of the area. Allowing Indigo to sneak up on them and kill them.

Indigo then heads to a hill overlooking the farm, and takes out the small campsite of guards there. A few hours later, and a terrible storm sets in. Indigo reports the results of his stakeout to Toreno, who orders Indigo to tag two trucks with trackers so that they can find out their destinations. Indigo's other orders are to sabotage the farm's communications and defenses to help F.A.A.R.S. during an upcoming raid on the hideout.

Under the cover of the storm, Indigo sneaks into the farm, eliminating guards at his discretion. He enters the barn to steal some explosives, and observes the large stockpile inside. He uses these explosives to rig a radio tower and helicopter to explode, and bugs the two trucks that are ready to leave. He returns back to the campsite to observe the farm from a safe distance.

A truck full of S.S.U. return to the farm and spot the dead bodies. With the alarm raised, Indigo blows the charges and watches the trucks leave the hideout. After they are clear, Indigo orders F.A.A.R.S. to begin the raid.

Indigo helps F.A.A.R.S. secure the farm from the S.S.U. and they move to closer investigate the stockpile in the barn.

Toreno arrives, and congratulates everyone on a successful attack. He also tells Indigo that Zulu is alive and well, and is returning to action as soon as he can. Much to the joy of Indigo.

Mission 4: Battle On The Bridge

Zulu is dropped off on the Naval Carrier in San Fierro, and is greeted by the ship's doctor. The doctor feels that it is necessary to ensure the Zulu is in good enough shape to continue working before sending him on to his next assignment. Near to a gunship under repair, Zulu begins by sniping distant targets on the Railway Bridge, after succesfully completing this exercise, zulu heads down to the lower deck of the carrier and completes a hazardous close-quarters combat exam against some of the ship's personnel.

Toreno radios Zulu and tells him to meet him outside. After Zulu and Toreno exchange some slightly snide remarks to eachother, Toreno briefs Zulu on the current situation. Team Two have stopped and secured the first truck that left the farm earlier that morning in the docks. Team Two is still tailing the second truck through San Fierro. Zulu's mission is to simply catch up with Team One and provide any assistance they require while they tail the second truck.

Just as Zulu catches up with Team One, Team One Alpha radios in that they have been spotted. Zulu races to the scene to see Team One taking cover behind their car, with Team One Alpha wounded. Zulu quickly asks for the location of the truck. Team One Bravo tells Zulu that the truck was damaged in the short firefight and limped its way across the bridge. The scene on the bridge is one of chaos, as cars and trucks have crashed and been abandoned by frightened civilians, creating several pockets where the escort that was accompanying the truck have quickly dug in to prevent the capture of their goods.

Zulu makes his way across the bridge on foot, Toreno tells him that the truck appears to have broke because the bug places the truck at the other end of the bridge. Toreno says that he shall attempt to pick up the S.S.U.'s radio signal and warn Zulu of anything up ahead. Toreno estimates that Zulu has about four minutes to cross the bridge before the truck can be retaken by the S.S.U. and it's supplies placed on another truck before escaping the area.

Zulu quickly eliminates all the enemies in each pocket, taking care to not get caught out in ambushes. He reaches the truck and secures it with seconds to spare. He finds the driver, who pleads innocence as he did not know he was driving a truck for criminals. Zulu contacts Toreno with the news of a successful mission.

Mission 5: Where It Hurts Most

Toreno, Zulu, and Indigo meet in the San Fierro Police Department and plan their next move. The truck driver gave Toreno the destination of the truck, which is Aldea Malvada. Despite the high probability that this location is the S.S.U.'s HQ in San Andreas, Toreno does not want to send in F.A.A.R.S. to shoot up a place and cause a scene without enough evidence. He tasks Zulu with parachuting into the area, and investigating the abandoned town.

Indigo, speaking from experience with the suicide attack near the farm, warns Zulu that the S.S.U. never surrender, and wishes him good luck.

Aboard the plane, Zulu is reminded by Toreno that he is acting as recon in this mission, and not like Rambo, so he cannot raise the alarm until given the orders to do so. Zulu grabs his equipment and enters the area via parachute. He crosses a bridge and secures it and a small camp nearby. The current sandstorm is more than enough to conceal Zulu as he sneaks his way to a ridge overlooking the abandoned town of Aldea Malvada. Upon reaching his vantage point, the sandstorm clears and allows Zulu to see a lot of activity in the town. He tells Toreno that there is plenty of supplies there, as well as well-armed sentries. Toreno acknowledges this information, and tells Zulu to take out the sentries while he waits for back up.

Zulu eliminates the guards and back up arrives. Instead of a squad of F.A.A.R.S. members, Zulu is surprised to see Indigo join him. Toreno still isn't convinced that the camp is the HQ, and so is only sending in two men to secure it. Despite being outnumbered, Zulu and Indigo work together to eliminate the alerted troops and secure the camp. They then split up to perform a final sweep of the area. Zulu walks round a corner and is forced to surrender as he is held captive by a straggler. Before the S.S.U. member can shoot Zulu, he is told to wait by the mysterious boss, the very same man who shot Zulu in the meat factory. The mysterious boss recognises Zulu, and quickly orders him to be killed. Indigo suddenly ambushes them and kills the S.S.U. member, and orders the boss to stop or be shot. The boss runs around a container, with Zulu and Indigo in hot pursuit. However, the boss escapes via helicopter. Indigo suggests shooting the pilot of the helicopter, but Zulu stops him, stating that Toreno shall want the boss alive.

As they watch the boss escape, Indigo asks Zulu how he knew him. Zulu tells him that the mysterious boss is the one who almost killed him in the abbatoir. Indigo then leaves to contact Toreno of the latest developments.

Act III
Mission 1: Countdown To The Apocalypse (Part One)

Before the intel collected at the S.S.U.'s HQ in Aldea Malvada can be fully analysed, the S.S.U. immediately begins its mission to bring chaos to the United States. That evening, after the raid, the S.S.U. broke into Area 69 and took the base over. They are now holding the country to ransom, and are threatening to launch nuclear missiles from the base to major U.S. cities if their demands are not met.

The Army and Air Force have been alerted and are camping a safe distance away from the base, so to not provoke a missile launch. Zulu arrives on the scene and reports to Toreno, who gives the latest news regarding the S.S.U.'s actions and demands. Toreno also gives Zulu his mission.

Zulu is to assist the Army in a daring attack on the base, in hopes of securing it before the S.S.U. can successfully ready and launch a missile. The first objective, after a short artillery strike, is to rush with the Army and destroy the two SAM launchers in the southern area of the base. This shall give the Air Force enough room to perform several fly-bys and send in airstrikes onto ground targets in the base. While the airstrikes are taking place, Zulu is to proceed to the north-western corner of the base and breach the perimeter with the Army. From there, he is ordered to secure the area and open the main gate to the bunker.

Zulu carries out his mission successfully despite heavy resistance. However, the control system for the main gate is shut down from within the bunker in an attempt to prevent the Army and Zulu from entering. After ensuring that the area is secure, Zulu regroups with some soldiers, and they begin talking. Suddenly, a missile is launched from the silo, and Zulu quickly locates an access point via the bunker's ventilation system. With thousands of lives resting on Zulu's shoulders, he comments on how he did not see himself saving the world in this manner.

Mission 2: Countdown To The Apocalypse (Part Two)

With only a few minutes to stop the launched missile, Zulu fights his way through the bunker to the Central Control Room, he is radioed the abort codes and enters them into the system. A moment later, the missile is aborted.

But there is more trouble, the mysterious boss reveals through the PA system that he has planted a bomb in the launch bay to a nuclear missile. While the resulting explosion shall be contained in the bunker, it shall annihilate anything inside the bunker. Without a moment to lose, Zulu fights his way through the corridors to the launch bay. He makes his way to the bottom and disarms the bomb.

The mysterious boss shows up at the top of the silo, and tells Zulu that he expected Zulu to reach the bomb and disarm it, so he prepared an ambush as a backup. the boss then flees, leaving Zulu to deal with his goons. Zulu dispatches the men and chases after the boss. Zulu emerges outside in the airfield attached to the base. A major battle is taking place as the remains of the S.S.U. in the base fight against U.S. Troops. Zulu provides some assistance as the boss escapes by plane.

Zulu commandeers a jet fighter and takes off, with his own goal being to destroy the boss' plane. However, Toreno orders him to stop, and destroy stolen weaponry that the S.S.U. are fleeing with. Grudgingly, Zulu obeys and locates the stolen weapons and fleeing men, and eliminates all targets with deadly efficiency.

Zulu is angered by being forced to let the boss escape, despite the overall success of the operation.

Mission 3: Die Hard

In Los Santos Police Department; Zulu, Indigo, Toreno, and two F.B.I. Agents meet to discuss their next move.

Zulu tells everyone that he saw the mysterious boss that he and Indigo saw at Aldea Malvada at Area 69. Not knowing his name, Zulu calls him a "Phantom", which becomes the boss' new alias among the F.B.I. and the Falling Angels. Zulu also menions that Phantom's men, while failing to flee with weaponry at the end of the operation at the base, they did however escape with nuclear warheads that were stolen from some of the missiles in the base. The F.B.I. are made nervous by this information, and stat that the warheads must be found before they are put to use. Zulu says that if they are put to use, then the S.S.U. will most likely brag about it.

Suspicious, the F.B.I. Agent asks what Zulu means, to which Zulu elaborates and explains that Phantom is one to enjoy playing mind games, for instance he shall chaos widespread panic and chaos before doing anything as big as detonating a bomb, that he wants to see the world fall apart before he blows it apart. The F.B.I. Agent questions Zulu's theory, quoting the fact that Zulu has only met the man three times. Zulu responds by merely saying "You don't need to see a man more than once to what he's like..."

Indigo tells everyone that he has been watching the rural area of the state for more leads on more S.S.U. hideouts in the area. He reports seeing some armed men travelling from the countryside to the Zombotech Labs in San Fierro and driving back to Angel Pine. The F.B.I. Agent is interested by this information, as they have been suspicious of a scientist who works at the same lab. Before he can continue, his partner tells everyone to looks at the news report on TV.

Phantom has released a tape claiming that he has placed several car bombs throughout Los Santos, rigged to the stolen nuclear warheads. Shortly after the news is aired, the phone rings, and Phantom is on the line, he refers to Zulu as a pest, and gives the location of the first bomb before hanging up. In anger, Zulu rushes out of the building.

Indigo points out that it is just what Zulu said, Phantom is making the world tear itself apart before blowing it up.

Zulu is without any support, due to the city being in turmoil, and the police struggling to restore calm. Zulu rushes to the first bomb and disarms it. Phantom hacks into Zulu's radio and informs of the location of the second bomb. Zulu navigates his way to the second bomb and diffuses it. Phantom chimes in again with a location of a third bomb, after diffusing this bomb, Toreno contacts Zulu asking him for updates on his location, Phantom learns Zulu's codename and makes a mocking remark about it before giving the location of the fourth bomb.

Zulu reaches this bomb and disarms it, Phantom calls in and tells him that the next location is in the car's glovebox, and that he has places to be. Zulu races to the fifth and final bomb, which is parked in an alley in the center of town.

Upon reaching and disabling this bomb, Zulu is confronted by the Detective. Confused, Zulu asks why the Detective is there when he should be in hiding. The Detective explains that he was found again by the S.s.U. and was told to kill Zulu or be killed himself. Zulu attempts to talk the Detective out fighting him, but to no avail. The two men have short gunfight, and the Detective is killed. Zulu, while looking at the fallen Detective, and feeling disgusted at what happened, is knocked out from behind by Phantom. Phantom takes the Detective's gun and leaves the bat he used to knock Zulu out in its place.

Phantom frames Zulu for murdering the Detective, by making it look like the Detective knocked Zulu out just as he was shot dead by Zulu's gun. The police eventually arrive at the scene - some time after Phantom escapes, and they arrest Zulu.

Mission 4: Framed!

Zulu is being held in the Los Santos jail, charged with the murder of a key witness in the Falling Angels' operations, and with being a spy for the S.S.U. - supported by Zulu's uncanny knowledge of Phantom's behavior. Despite his pleas of innocence, Toreno authorises Zulu's execution for the following day - after the next operation taking place in Angel Pine.

Some hours later, Indigo visits Zulu. Indigo asks Zulu why he didn't let the missile hit its target while he was inside the bunker, because Zulu would've been safe inside the reinforced structure. Zulu, realising that Indigo is questioning the assumption of Zulu being a spy working for the S.S.U. checks that he is hearing everything correctly. Indigo says that helping prisoners escape is punishable by death if caught, but he is willing to take the risk. Indigo leaves Zulu the key and promptly leaves the station to cover his tracks.

Zulu escapes and acquires a weapon and keycard. He uses the keycard to break into the Police databases and download all the intel the Falling Angels and F.B.I. have on the S.S.U. While he is doing this, he is spotted and the station goes into red alert. Zulu escapes into the police garage using the keycard and steals a police bike. With half of the state looking for him, Zulu hides out in the countryside and reads the intel he has stolen.

Zulu discovers Indigo's personal phone number, and decides to contact him via payphone. Indigo pretends that Zulu is actually Indigo's daughter, so to prevent people from realising that Indigo is talking to an escaped fugitive. Zulu tells Indigo where to find him and that he needs a new outfit and a weapon. Indigo confirms the meeting and hangs up. Zulu then returns to his hideout and waits for Indigo to arrive.

Mission 5: Person Of Interest

By the time Indigo arrives, Zulu has chosen to follow a lead involving the scientist in Zombotech Labs. Indigo hands over a weapon and a new outfit to Zulu, and also gives him a headset to contact Indigo with. Indigo explains that he must hurry, as he is helping the Falling Angels perform a raid on Angel Pine and a hideout near the town. Indigo wishes Zulu the best of luck, and Zulu tells Indigo that he isn't Zulu anymore, but just Anthony Barlow - his real name. Indigo tells Anthony his real name too; Benjamin West, and leaves for Angel Pine.

Anthony heads to Zombotech Labs in San Fierro, and discovers an F.B.I. car watching the entrance to the lab. Realising that they could recognise him if he tries to enter through the entrance, Anthony decides to parachute into the courtyard of the building via the rooftop. He locates a parachute and accesses the roof via a stairwell around the back of the building. He parachutes down safely, and witnesses believe that it was actually a publicity stunt. Anthony then takes the elevator down to the labs.

He finds the scientist, who is named Dr. Schurch, and tells him that he knows that Schurch has been in contact with terrorists. When the Doctor started to show defiance, Anthony threatened him to follow him or be killed by Anthony himself. The Doctor complies, and they make their way out of the building via the main entrance. Before they can reach the Doctor's car, some S.S.U. show up to whack the Doctor. Anthony kills them and takes down the F.B.I. who joined the fight to kill Anthony. Anthony and the Doctor escape in a car and evade the F.B.I., they soon arrive at Anthony's Half-brother's home, and start talking about what the S.S.U. wanted with him.

Schurch reveals that the S.S.U. sent two thugs to steal a virus from him. The virus, though capable of surviving intense heat and radiation, and killing a host within 24 hours, cannot survive more than 3 hours without infecting someone. Anthony asks Schurch if he knows what the S.S.U. wereplanning to do with the virus. Schurch tells Anthony that he didn't know, and was tld that the thugs would come and get him the day they intended to use the virus - the same thugs who showed up outside the Labs earlier. Realising that this virus was being used in a bomb in Angel Pine as a last-ditch effort to cause chaos in San Andreas - and that the raid on the town by F.A.A.R.S. would provoke the bomb to be detonated prematurely - Anthony hastily leaves and drives as fast as he can toward Angel Pine.

Anthony tries to contact Benjamin, but is out of range for his radio to work. By the time his radio contacts Benjamin, it is too late and the nuclear bomb explodes, sending a powerful shockwave through the southern end of San Fierro. The explosions knock Anthony clear off the elevated freeway, and into the street below.

Mission 6: Biological Terrorism

Some hours before the nuclear bomb is detonated, Indigo, or otherwise known as Benjamin. is preparing to spearhead the operation in Angel Pine. The F.B.I. has evacuated the small town of civilians, which has also alerted the S.S.U. operating in the area. As a result, resistance in the town is expected to be heavy, so Indigo is tasked with providing air support in a fully-loaded gunship.

Despite heavy fire, Indigo takes out several groups of S.S.U., and helps F.A.A.R.S. advance into the town and secure it. Indigo then lands and assists F.A.A.R.S. on foot with securing the rest of the town.

After this is done, Indigo and F.A.A.R.S. start their next objective - secure the hideout north of the town. They reach the log cabin, and quickly mop up the last of the S.S.U. in the area. Indigo discovers the nuclear bomb, and orders an immediate evacuation of the area. Indigo and the F.A.A.R.S. members with him get into a vehicle, and attempt to leave Whetstone via the bridge near the Junkyard.

Anthony gets in contact with Benjamin just before the bomb explodes, trying to warn Benjamin of the danger. Just before he can reach the bridge and safety, Benjamin's car is caught in the blast and thrown off the road and into the Junkyard below.

Mission 7: Some Dreams Shouldn't Come True

Anthony wakes in the middle of a street, San Fierro is being blasted by fallout. Like in his dream while in a coma, Anthony makes his along the street and soon takes cover atop a long outdoor hall. Reaches the small bridge and spots an Ambulance below. Feeling weakened by his injuries, Anthony attempts to drop down to ground level to acquire the Ambulance, but he collapses and passes out.

Benjamin wakes in the Junkyard next to the wrecked truck he was driving. The F.A.A.R.S. members with him are dead, and nobody is responding to Ben's radio. Ben limps his way out of the Junkyard and onto te street, in hope of being spotted by a passer-by and taken to safety. Upon seeing the street completely empty and dead, Benjamin collapses and gives up. Believing that he has cheated death long enough, he allows himself to drift into comatose.

In the distance, approaching where Benjamin lies, an Ambulance drives along the street. It stops beside Benjamin...

Act IV
Mission 1: A Fallen Angel

Anthony takes a wounded Benjamin back to the house where Schurch is hiding out. Schurch confirms that Benjamin is clearly infected with the virus, and that Anthony is most likely infected too. Schurch explains that the symptoms of infection shall be mild up until death - roughly 24 hours away. While trying to think of their next move, Anthony hears a noise in the house. He investigates and finds that Toreno has located them. He accuses Anthony of working with the Russians in the detonation of the small nuke in Whetstone, and accuses Indigo of being traitor too. Despite trying to convince Toreno that he's wrong, Anthony ends up in a shootout with Toreno, and takes him down. With the city under Martial Law, and both the Military and Falling Angels searching for Anthony, it is decided that the three must escape from the town before it is completely sealed off in qurantine.

The worst of the fallout has quickly passed, but a thick mist hangs over the city, Zombotech is being guarded by the Army and used as a vaccination point to both heal and immunise the civilians of San Fierro who could be infected with the virus. However, being wanted men, Anthony, Ben, and Schurch cannot approach the Labs without being killed or arrested.

Anthony tells Schurch to head for the docks, and steal a boat as Anthony creates a distraction - and thus a gap in the blockade surrounding San Fierro. They maintain radio contact using the earpieces that Anthony and Ben were using.

Anthony quickly makes his way to the Naval Base, and forcefully boards the Carrier. He finds the gunship that was being repaired some time ago still on the deck, but now fully repaired and loaded. Anthony steals the chopper and begins attracting attention. The Army sends tanks in to shoot down Anthony, but the dense fog allows Anthony to destroy them before they can get a lock.

Amidst the chaos, Schurch manages to get Ben onto a boat and starts making his way out to sea. Anthony tells him to wait at the end of the runway for Anthony to show up. Suddenly, the Army realise that Anthony is a decoy, and send in men to destroy the boat, and two gunships to destroy Anthony. Anthony eliminates the ground troops and out manuevres the two gunships, sending them crashing from the sky. Anthony lands on the runway and jumps off the edge and into the water. He boards Schurch's boat and the head for Fort Carson. Schurch asks why Anthony got involved in this mess, and Anthony explains that a friend of his risked his neck to help him, and that he is returning the favour and nothing more.

They arrive at the safehouse in Fort Carson, where Anthony is convinced shall be their final resting place. Schurch tells him that he has a plan to get Anthony and Ben cured, and tells him that he shall explain once inside.

Mission 2: Life Is A Gamble.

Schurch was to attend a convention in Las Venturas, to discuss the breakthrough with a new medicine - which happens to be the antidote to the virus. Enough doses of the antidote were taken to Caligula's Casino, where the convention was to be held. So the plan becomes apparent to Anthony: Break into Caligula's Casino and steal the antidote, and then race back to the safehouse before he and Ben succumb to the virus.

Anthony races to Las Venturas, and enters the Casino. Anthony quickly makes his way through the Casino and enters the basement level. With security and mobsters up against him, Anthony struggles to find a balance between speedily acquiring the virus, and moving carefully to avoid being killed. He reaches the Casino's Vault, and finds it locked. Thinking that he had no more options, Anthony begins to give up, but is attacked by an insane mobster with an RPG. Anthony takes down the RPG-toting maniac and takes his weapon. Zulu uses the weapon to blast the Vault door open, and he heads inside to grab the antidote.

Whilst inside the Vault, Anthony grabs some money, thinking about the fact the he, Schurch, and Ben are going to need money in order to start new lives away from those who shall be hunting them. Anthony then begins fighting his way through the basements and into the warehouse area. He finds a prized car and uses it to escape from Las Venturas. By now the virus is beginning to take effect on Zulu, as he loses his voice and feels weaker.

Fortunately, Anthony manages to lose the F.B.I. and return with the vaccine before it was too late.

Mission 3: Codename Zulu KIA

Benjamin and Anthony are alive and well, thanks to the vaccine curing them from the virus. But they are not safe yet, as the country and the S.S.U. are undoubtedly searching for them.

Anthony is paranoid of being found soon, and his fears are realised when he spots an S.S.U. ambush preparing to slam the hideout with RPG rockets. Anthony, Bejamin, and Schurch escape from the house just before it is blown up.

Anthony covers Benjamin and the Doctor as they escape to the jetty, where the boat is moored. After killing off the initial wave of S.S.U., Anthony heads to the boat. There, he tells the other two men that he is staying behind to finish the S.S.U. off alone. Schurch demands that Anthony leave with them, but Benjamin supports Anthony, and gives him his Desert Eagle. Anthony gives the men the money he stole from the Casino, and says his goodbyes. He watches the boat leave and then gets ready to fight off the second wave of S.S.U.

After dealing with the second wave, Phantom appears at the mouth of a tunnel, and taunts Anthony, asking him how it feels to be labeled a triator by his own country. Anthony takes off after him, and follows Phantom into the tunnel. The tunnel has been wired with explosives, and Anthony makes a mad dash for the other end of the tunnel before it completely collapses. He emerges back on street level and spots Phantom running away toward a scenic overlook near The Big Ear. Anthony vows that today is the day this ends, and chases Phantom. He reaches the overlook, and kills the S.S.U. there. Not finding Phantom, Anthony heads up to The Big Ear to which he finds several more S.S.U. members. He kills them and continues his search for Phantom.

A helicopter starts making its way toward Anthony, who identifies it as Phantoms escape chopper. He shoots it down and starts looking for Phantom. Phantom steps out into the open, verbally showing how impressed he is with Anthony. Phantom then goes on to explain that he and Anthony are the same, that they have both been betrayed by their own governments, that they are essentially brothers. Anthony disagrees with the similiarity, stating that he is only out for revenge on Phantom, and not for revenge on the world.

Suddenly, F.A.A.R.S. attempts to capture the men, but Phantom escapes via motorcycle. Anthony grabs another bike and chases after Phantom. During the chase, Anthony avoids RPG rockets and shakes off his pursuers - which also includes a gunship.

Anthony catches up with Phantom on the Sherman Dam, cut off on both sides, Anthony reluctantly agrees to help Phantom eliminate F.A.A.R.S. and the gunship before they kill the men. Shortly after dealing with the enemies, Phantom asks if Anthony is sure he doesn't want to collaborate with him, to which Anthony tells him that he wouldn't be in such trouble if it weren't for him, and that he shall show his gratitude with his gun. The two men battle on the dam viciously, until only Anthony is left standing. Anthony approaches a dying Phantom and asks if he has any last words. Phantom pulls out a bomb and arms it, stating: "I'll see you in hell". Remembering Benjamin's advice that "They never give up", Anthony expects this and jumps off the dam just before the bomb explodes.

A few minutes later, F.A.A.R.S. secure the dam, and discover the remains of Phantom. Toreno, despite appearing to have died in San Fierro, after the fight against Anthony, arrives on the scene and looks around. He stands near the edge of the damn, looking out to the water leading away from the damn. A soldier approaches him and tells him that they have identified Phantom but have not found Anthony. Toreno hesitates as he spots Anthony being whisked away by Schurch - who came back to ensure Anthony escaped. Despite knowing that Anthony is alive, Toreno orders the soldier to get the file on Anthony, aka Codename: Zulu, and mark him as Killed In Action. The soldier leaves to do this, and Toreno, now alone, wishes Zulu a good life.

The End.
